Our last "Camp a la Mommies" was my responsibility. We had a field trip up to Tilden Park where we fed the animals at Little Farm. The weather was perfect and we had a picnic lunch on the grass. The craft session was held at our house. We made salt dough bunnies, which the kids loved. They turned out really cute and Georgia wants to pet Miles' all the time. To sum up our summer of trips, the kiddos ate dinosaur chicken nuggets (remembering Lawrence Hall of Science), carrots (in honor of the bunnies), and snacked on goldfish (to pay tribute to the 2 ocean themes). It was rounded off with a Napa Valley Salad for the mommies and chocolate cake for everyone! It was a fun idea and great for the kids.
Georgia was not scared one bit of the animals. She couldn't feed them fast enough.
Miles, on the other hand, couldn't stay far enough away. He felt safe enough feeding the ducks and chickens, but the cows and those long tongues.....eeek! Although I can't blame him. He kept wanting me to do it and I was just as skittish!
Lunch time after we made our craft!
I got a picture of G and Sienna, but didn't get a picture of Grant.
Our bunnies!!
