Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas this year as a family of four, plus a Nana. :) Nana came over on Christmas Eve and stayed through the 27th. It was nice to have an extra set of hands! On Christmas Eve we had drinks with Diana Whitehead and Don DeFraga. Afterwards we had a crab feed and put the kids to bed. Then magically, Santa appeared. Miles got up at 8:00 and was stunned when he saw his train table. He couldn't believe all the other toys and walked around a bit with sleepy eyes. But when it finally sunk in that this was all his...he barely came up for a breath!! He wouldn't eat or drink anything for hours. It was too cute. Georgia loved all her new toys, especially ones that lit up and made noise. And everything went into her mouth, as usual. (She just cut her first bottom tooth the other day, poor baby.) We stopped to eat the traditional breakfast casserole, popped open bubbly, and tackled the presents. We opened presents until 2:30!! It was fantastic. We had a ham for dinner, some more bubbly, and called it a night. Miles slept incredibly soundly that night. When he woke up the next morning, he took out his paci, threw down his babies, and said, "Play with Thomas!" On boxing day, the Bergstrom crew came over with Auntie June and we ate delicious food all over again. What great merriment we had in Pleasant Hill!! Some of the pics are sideways....sorry! I'm having problems getting them to post properly!

On Christmas Eve, Nana gave the kids each a new book.

 Sharing? I think....
Out of about 10 shots, this was the most decent. It's incredibly difficult to get 2 children to look at the camera at the same time.
Miles made a card for Santa. We left out cookies for the Big Man and carrots for the reindeer.
His card is a tree made from his handprints. He had so much fun doing this project. (Beth...I had you in the back of my mind the whole time. You were so good with crafts and my son!)

Santa arrived! When Miles came down, all the trains were on and racing around the track. This is the only time when it's nice not to have furniture!

Still in a bit of a sleepy daze....
Now it's starting to sink in...

 The Peach got a house!
She was a big fan of the singing door.
Her new phone also makes a great teething toy.
Dada showing Georgia how to open presents. She enjoyed the ripping!

 Our traditional Santa Suit picture.

Georgia got the cutest Santa bib from Diana.
Checking out the hat. Hmmm........how can I get that into my mouth?!?
 I love this party dress.

Georgia let Stephanie hold her for about a minute. She was looking at her and trying to figure out who she was.....then came the fat lip. :)
Miles had a lot of fun playing with Jack.
